About Me
I have over 30 years experience as a health care practitioner in a variety of settings: I qualified as a nurse in 1983, before completing a psychology degree. I then worked as a research nurse at the University of Oxford Department of Public Health for 14 years.
I have been a qualified and registered acupuncturist since 1992. I am a full member of the Association of Acupuncture Clinicians and abide by their Code of Safe Practice. I have also studied both Swedish and Chinese massage. I treat people suffering with pain and stress using acupuncture and massage during the same treatment. I also coach clients in mindfulness and lifestyle, specifically healthy posture and exercise.

I have undertaken in-depth postgraduate studies in:
-
Musculoskeletal acupuncture
-
Fertility and gynaecology
-
Oncology and palliative care acupuncture
-
Acupuncture for neurological disorders

I trained in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction with 'Breathworks'.

I am a member of the British Acupuncture Federation, The Association of Acupuncture Clinicians, The UK Toyohari Association, The British Medical Acupuncture Society, The Acupuncture Fertility Network and the Nursing and Midwifery Council. I continue to work occasionally as a nurse in palliative care, where I also use acupuncture for the relief of symptoms such as cancer related pain and fatigue, nausea, digestive issues, anxiety and insomnia.

I work in Stonesfield (North Oxfordshire) and am within easy reach of Oxford, Woodstock, Charlbury, Witney, Banbury, Chipping Norton and other areas in central Oxfordshire. I am able to work flexible hours to enable you to combine acupuncture with your lifestyle. To make an appointment or for further information please contact me.
